Nick has spent the last 20 years working in the vine propagation supply chain; and has developed extensive knowledge of variety, clone and rootstock performance, along with an intimate understanding of Grapevine Trunk Disease, Grapevine Virus and Nursery practices. Along with technical expertise Nick has also developed solid business management and communication skills through his time managing Yalumba Nursery.

Since September 2020 Nick has been working with Wine Australia to develop a National Grapevine Collection and supporting certification standards for grapevine propagation.

In November 2022 Nick was awarded the Australian Society for Viticulture and Oenology 'Viticulturist of the Year'.
